Who Is Colorado Conservative Leadership Fund And Why Are Their Donors Also Funding Democrats?

Who is Colorado Conservative Leadership Fund IEC and why do they want to see Amy Parks elected so badly?

That is the question every conservative voter in State House District 51 should be asking.

This outside special-interest group has already spent nearly $150,000 trying to defeat me in this Republican primary for a district the size of Loveland. They are paying for mailers, TV ads, internet ads, text messages, and even door-to-door canvassing to oppose me and support my opponent.

One of the group’s largest donors is Kent Thiry, a multi-millionaire activist best known for spending millions promoting open primaries, ranked-choice voting, gerrymandered redistricting, and so-called “bipartisan” political campaigns. In fact, while his money is being used to influence this Republican primary, Thiry is also funding Colorado Affordability Project, an IEC active in Democratic legislative primaries across Colorado at this very moment.

Now they have launched a new round of attack ads against me.

The latest attacks are about bankruptcies from 1999 and 2013, two of the hardest periods of my life.

The first occurred nearly three decades ago during a divorce when I became a single mother raising two young children.

The second came after a series of family and business hardships, including losing my mother to cancer and my husband’s battle with colon cancer.

Like many families facing difficult circumstances, we made hard decisions and moved forward.

What the attack ads don’t tell you is what happened next.

For the last 13 years, I rebuilt my business, helped business owners manage their finances, served my community, and earned the trust of voters who elected me twice to the Thompson School Board.

That’s the record I’m proud to stand on.

Voters should ask themselves why outside special interests are so determined to stop me.

I trust the voters of House District 51 to judge me based on my full record, my values, and my service to this community—not just some of the most difficult years of my life.

If you are a Republican or unaffiliated voter, you can vote the Republican ballot. I would be honored to earn your support.

Return ballots to any Larimer County drop box by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. In-person voting begins June 22.
