The following letters to the editor were published in the Loveland Reporter-Herald from local residents supporting Nancy Rumfelt for House District 51.
One quality matters above all in public office: accountability.
Nancy Rumfelt has spent her professional career in positions where accountability is not optional. As a chief financial officer, comptroller, and now a small business owner, she understands that decisions have consequences and budgets must reflect reality.
She carried that same mindset into her service on the Thompson School District Board, where she has worked for more than four years to advocate for students, families, and taxpayers during challenging times.
Nancy has shown she can stand firm under pressure while still treating others respectfully and finding ways to move important work forward. That kind of leadership is increasingly rare. Voters have already trusted Nancy twice at the ballot box because they know she brings integrity, transparency, and proven results.
House District 51 would benefit greatly from that same accountable leadership at the Capitol.
Jack Huffman, Loveland
Experience matters. So does electability.
Nancy Rumfelt is not an untested candidate. She is a proven winner who has earned the trust of voters twice in Thompson School District elections. That matters because winning campaigns requires building trust across a community, listening to people, and demonstrating consistent leadership over time.
Nancy’s leadership has also been tested in office. Over the last 4½ years, she has faced contentious issues and difficult debates while remaining focused on practical solutions for students, families, and taxpayers. Combined with her background as a CFO and small business owner, Nancy brings both leadership experience and real-world financial expertise to the table.
House District 51 deserves someone prepared to govern on day one — not someone learning on the job.
Nancy Rumfelt has already proven she can lead, win, and deliver results.

As a voter, I have a responsibility to look beyond campaign promises in choosing a representative. I ask a simple question: Has this person earned the trust of voters before?
Nancy Rumfelt has.
When I had concerns regarding information about school district decisions that would directly impact me as a community member, I went to Nancy. Unable to completely address my concerns initially, she explored further, understood the situation, and communicated answers to me within two days.
Nancy has been elected twice to the Thompson School District School Board because she has demonstrated her responsibility to connect with Loveland citizens, respond to their concerns, and follow through.
But winning elections is only part of the story. For the past 4½ years, Nancy has tackled difficult issues, made tough decisions, and advocated for students, families, and taxpayers. She has shown the courage to stand firm when necessary and the wisdom to work with others to find solutions.
Now we have the opportunity for Nancy to serve as our House District 51 state representative. Combined with her experience as a CFO and small business owner, Nancy brings a level of real-world leadership that is increasingly rare and always needed in government.
Please join me in voting for Nancy Rumfelt for House District 51 representative.
Nancy Patterson, Loveland
Colorado families are tired of politicians who spend freely without understanding the consequences. Nancy Rumfelt brings something different to the race for House District 51: real financial leadership.
As a former controller and CFO, and now the owner of her own accounting business, Nancy has spent her career making budgets balance, managing risk, and helping organizations succeed responsibly.
She has also brought that same accountability to her service in the Thompson School District Board over the last 4½ years. Taxpayers deserve elected officials who understand that every dollar spent comes from hardworking families and businesses. Nancy understands that because she has lived it professionally for decades.
Her record shows she can lead under pressure, stand firm on principle, and still work with others to get results.
That combination of business experience and public service is exactly what Colorado needs more of right now.

What am I looking for in my HD51 representative?
An advocate for families, parents’ rights and protecting children.
A fiscally competent defender of TABOR, the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights, and a state budget that is truly balanced.
A business owner who will promote a healthy business climate and fight regulatory overreach.
A protector of the constitutional right to bear arms.
In this 250th year of our country and the 150th year of our state, we need a principled communicator who will defend our national and state constitutions with respect and grace.
That person is Nancy Rumfelt! Check her out at nancyrumfeltforhd51.com.

I’ve known Nancy Rumfelt over many years while attending Thompson School District meetings when I assisted with our grandchildren attending district schools, and now our great-grandson is attending school here.
Nancy is probably the most dedicated and trusted elected official I’ve known, and she still is always available to listen to your concerns. Nancy understands Colorado’s business economic priorities, however, she will never forget to protect parental rights, as well as the protection and security of our children.
As a Board of Education member for Thompson School District, and Nancy’s extensive professional financial career, Nancy demonstrates how she is always on top of financial issues, including bond receipts and payments, all of which are taxpayer dollars.
She already attends Legislative sessions at the Capitol and testifies on any local issues needing legislative attention, regardless of which department may be involved. Nancy will be a perfect fit for House District 51 where she will utilize her broad life’s work, common sense, integrity, leadership and experience to move Colorado forward.
House District 51 voters will be greatly rewarded with Nancy in the House!

House District 51 vote is very crucial in the upcoming election. Nancy Rumfelt is running as a Republican to represent this district.
If you have been following the passage of legislation by this past Colorado State Legislature, you probably already know that it was filled with cultural and economic disasters as abortion, potentially attempting to destroy the TABOR amendment, illegal alien protection, etc.
It’s time we clean house in the Colorado Legislature, and begin to shrink the unrepresentative Democrat party control.
Nancy Rumfelt already demonstrated her ability to stand up to opposition when she consistently opposed decisions that violate Christian values as a member of the Thompson School Board.
She needs your vote.
