About Nancy Rumfelt

Nancy is a third-generation Coloradoan with deep roots in Loveland, Berthoud, and Longmont. She has spent her life working, serving, and raising a family in Northern Colorado.

She is a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1979 to 1985, and was honorably discharged at the rank of E-5.

For more than 40 years, Nancy has worked in business leadership, helping companies grow, manage budgets, and navigate tough economic conditions. She has served as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing operations, planning, and financial strategy for manufacturing companies in plastics, food and beverage, and consumer goods. She has managed budgets for businesses with up to $250 million in revenue and more than 200 employees.

Her career has focused on balancing complex budgets, protecting jobs, and helping businesses succeed despite rising taxes and heavy regulations. That experience matters now, as Colorado faces a $1.5 billion budget shortfall.

Nancy was elected to the Thompson School District Board in 2021 and re-elected in 2023. During her time on the board, she has worked to bring more accountability, support students and teachers, and ensure parents have a voice in their children’s education.

She has also been a conservative grassroots activist since 2008, staying engaged in the issues that matter to Colorado families.

Nancy stepped into this race because she believes Colorado is heading in the wrong direction. Families are being squeezed by rising costs, businesses are being pushed out, and government is growing more intrusive in everyday life.

Nancy is running to bring conservative leadership, accountability, and common sense back to the State Capitol.
